Welcome to the Rotary Club of Lakewood!
The Rotary Club of Lakewood was founded on October 13, 1954, and since then our members have served the greater Lakewood community with honor, respect, and a true love for service. As the current President, I am proud to lead our members in continuing the incredible legacy that Rotarians have upheld for more than 70 years.
Our club has made a lasting impact through signature service projects, including the Project Shepherd program—an ongoing partnership with the City of Lakewood. This charitable effort provides year-round and seasonal support for residents facing economic hardship. Services include an emergency food pantry with essential staples, utility bill assistance, a back-to-school backpack and supply program each August, and a December holiday program offering gifts for children, non-perishable food, and grocery store gift cards.
Beyond Project Shepherd, our club supports the community through student scholarships, contributions to local nonprofits, and initiatives that strengthen education and community-building.
At the heart of our efforts is Rotary’s motto: “Service Above Self.” Our members are dedicated volunteers working locally, regionally, and globally to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education and economic growth, protect the environment, and eradicate polio. Through these initiatives, we not only make a meaningful difference in the lives of others but also grow personally and professionally by learning from and serving alongside our community.
We invite you to explore our website and discover more about the work we do. If our mission inspires you, please consider joining us. Attend a meeting, take part in a service project, or connect with our members to learn how you can get involved.
We warmly welcome you to the Rotary family. Thank you for your interest, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
