Midland West Rotary Club Scholarships
 
The Midland West Rotary Club, a club chartered in April 1962, and organized under the guidelines and precepts of Rotary International, the world’s largest service organization, will grant  scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in Midland College, or will be enrolling in one of the Applied Technology Programs.  The Board of Directors of the Midland West Rotary Club will annually determine how many scholarships it will award each year as part of its annual budget process.
 
Our Purpose:  Promote education and assist eligible students with the cost of tuition, fees, and books.  
 
Scholarship Value:  The scholarship amount can vary from year to year as determined by the Board of the Midland West Rotary Club.
 
Eligibility:  The applicant must be a graduating senior at Midland High School, Legacy High School, Coleman High School, or a student who is already enrolled in Midland College in one of the Career and Technology fields.
 
Selection Process:  Applications for the Midland West Rotary Club Scholarship can be obtained from the Department Chair of his or her respective field of study at Midland College or downloaded on this website.  These application forms, along with transcripts and any attached letters of recommendation, should be completed and mailed to the Midland West Rotary Club Scholarship Committee at the address shown on the application.  The scholarships will be awarded based on the application and an interview.
 
Requirements after Selection:         
  • Enroll in Midland College for the next semester.
  • Apply the scholarship to tuition, fees, or supplies. 
  • Attend one Rotary meeting as our guest.
  • Endeavor to attain a G.P.A. of 2.5 or above on Midland College's 4.0 grading system.
