Food Pantry and Food Bank Initiatives

As #peopleofaction, we concentrated on our community's need for more food support during and in the years after COVID.  Today we continued to hold our annual Fill The Boat Food Drive with the Niantic Post 5849 VFW, an annual food drive in October, and participation in the LIberty Bank Matching donation program.

Liberty Bank Matching Donation Program & Pie Sales

We partner with the Liberty Bank Matching donation program, where Liberty Bank matches 25 cents for every dollar we dedicate to their program.  This allows us to increase our contribution to local food initiative organizations.  

Where do the funds come from for the Liberty Bank Match?  We sell PIES!  Our Annual Lyman Orchards pie fundraiser profits are earmarked for this program.  Sales begin in September.
