The Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers is passionate about service and our community, and we need your help. Today, like many other public and private institutions, our schools are facing alarming budget shortfalls and are having to make challenging decisions that threaten the certainty of music education.
While we can debate the individual budget line items, there is one thing we know for certain – music education provides many benefits to our kids and our community. Kids who play in a band or sing in a choir have higher grades, are less likely to dropout and are far less likely to be involved in drugs, crime or other destructive behaviors.

The Edmonds Daybreakers are continuing a Rotarian tradition of service to community by dedicating ourselves to the annual production of the Edmonds Jazz Connection – a community festival that will brings together 20 outstanding student big bands, combos and vocal ensembles on Saturday, May 28th in Downtown Edmonds. This event will showcase a year of hard work by each of these groups in an ‘encore’ end of year performance for families, friends and their community.
Each year, we ask for the community’s support to become a Patron of this wonderful festival - your contribution will ensure the future of this festival through helping cover modest expenses, while raising funds for music scholarships for college bound students and grants to support our school music programs.
Donations can be made online at http://donations.jazzconnection.org - or checks can be mailed per information provide below.
Thank you,
