EDMONDS JAZZ CONNECTION SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

 

The Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers is pleased to once again offer Edmonds Jazz Connection scholarships to graduating high school seniors continuing their education in college or vocational training schools.

An ideal candidate will demonstrate their passion for hard work and the desire to improve their school and community through extra-circular activities and volunteering. Please note, recipients of an Edmonds Jazz Connection scholarship must attend and perform with their school’s group(s) at this year’s event on May 19th in Edmonds.

Each scholarship will be a minimum of $1,500 to be paid directly to the college/vocational school and applied toward tuition and other charges associated with attendance.  Scholarship awards will be available during the 2018-19 academic year.

Scholarship recipients may be called upon to report their progress to the Rotary Club during the time they are a beneficiary of a Daybreakers Rotary scholarship.

You see Daybreakers everyday around Edmonds in their shops, offices, homes and community centers.  In addtion, you can often see us volunteering on many  local service projects from helping stock and sort food at the food bank to mentoring students at our local schools to cleaning litter from our roads.
